Bob Kelly Joins Good Day Philadelphia

By Kevin Eck

Philadelphia FOX owned station WTXF has added Bob Kelly as traffic reporter for Good Day Philadelphia.

Kelly left rival station KYW in September. At the time, he told his facebook fans, “Hope to see you all again soon, thank you so very much for allowing me to be in your home these past 13 years.”

For Kelly, “soon” came this morning when he was welcomed by Mike Jerrick in a skit where Jerrick grabbed a “random” guy standing at a bus stop to do the traffic report. That random bus stop guy was, surprise, surprise, Kelly.

In 2001 he moved over to television and became the first Philadelphia traffic anchor to do reports in front of the green screen. Animated and fun to watch with his highly popular phrases like “jammo,” “two jelly donut delay,” and “the Conshy Curve,” Emmy-award-winning Bob Kelly is now referred by so many as “The Dean of Traffic.”
