Barrington Sees 14% Jump In 2Q Revenue

Barrington Broadcasting Group announced that gross revenues for the quarter ended June 30 increased 13.6% to $32.7 million from $28.8 million for the same period a year earlier.

The company said the increase was primarily due to an increase in national revenues of $1 million, or 16.7%, to $7 million, an increase in local revenues of $900,000, or 4.7%, to $19 million, and an increase in political revenues of $900,000 to $1 million.

Retransmission revenues increased $700,000, or 50.8%, to $2.1 million, and other revenues increased $500,000, or 14.6%, to $3.6 million. More…
