Bakery Show Rises to Top for Pittsburgh Station

It must be the holiday season. Hearst’s Pittsburgh ABC affiliate WTAE won the day yesterday with a show about local bakeries.

Chronicle: Bakeries of the ‘Burgh, at 8 p.m. was the highest rated program on television in the Pittsburgh market with women 25-54.

“Local bakeries are important to Pittsburghers,” said WTAE president and GM Charles Wolfertz III. “We are thrilled that our viewers connected with this program. It is our hope that more families will watch our encore presentations and see the wonderful people working hard to keep our neighborhoods thriving and local traditions alive.”

The show will air again on WTAE Sunday, January 1st at 5 p.m.

“Chronicle: Bakeries of the ‘Burgh takes you on a tour of Pittsburgh’s most beloved ,sweet spots.’” said teh station. “Whether it’s for cookies, cakes, donuts or something brand new, our city’s appetite for delicious bakery treats is insatiable. And just like our restaurant scene, Pittsburgh’s confectionary business is booming.”
