Annette Campbell is joining Sherman, Texas CBS and Fox affiliate KXII as a co-anchor of the morning newscast.
Campbell previously worked as a morning anchor at WNWO in Toledo, Ohio, and began her career at KLTV in Tyler, Texas, as an anchor and reporter. She is a native of Allen, Texas.
“My family and I are from the North Texas area,” said Campbell. “It feels good to have landed a great job right here at home,” Campbell said. “I can’t wait to meet more people in the Texoma region and be part of this great community.”
KXII news director Matt Griffin said Campbell’s experience will serve both the newsroom and viewers well.
“We are extremely fortunate to have Annette joining our morning team. Her experience both in news and in life will translate to a better product,” Griffin said. “We look forward to showcasing her talents to our viewers for years to come.”
Campbell will co-anchor from 5-7 a.m. every weekday morning with Kylee Dedmon and meteorologist Brian Briggs. She will also anchor the Noon newscast each weekday beginning Monday, July 24.
