AmyWegmann-TreyRadelAmy Wegmann is coming back to WFTX in Fort Myers, FL.

After ten years with the Journal Broadcasting owned FOX affiliate, Wegmann left in 2012 to help her husband Trey Radel get elected to Congress. Radel later resigned from office after pleading guilty to misdemeanor cocaine possession.

“It’s like returning home to family,” Wegmann said in a statement. “I couldn’t be more excited to be back on a newscast that I helped build back in its infancy.”

The station said Wegmann will co-anchor the morning news alongside Miriam Zamorano. She starts tomorrow and begins anchoring next Monday.
