WNYW anchor Greg Kelly, who is currently under investigation for raping a New York City woman last fall, has asked for a leave of absence from the Fox O&O.

“Greg Kelly has requested some time off,” WNYW general manager Lew Leone said in a statement.

Kelly’s time off is effective today. WNYW anchor Steve Lacy, who filled in for Kelly today, will co-anchor the newscast through the end of this week. Lacy anchors the 4:30 to 7 a.m. newscast on WNYW.
