Kansas City’s CBS affiliate has not lacked for drama in recent years, either on its prime-time shows or inside its newsroom.
Now KCTV-5 is undergoing a top-to-bottom makeover under new general manager Bobby Totsch. In recent months, he has upended the stations investigative unit, blown out the morning anchor team, revised station policy for interrupting TV shows to carry severe storm coverage and revived the in-house sports department that was eliminated in 2003.
