Longtime WBBH-WZVN anchor Chad Oliver is leaving the Fort Myers station for a job in PR.
In a memo sent to the newsroom yesterday, Vice President of news Darryl Lieze-Adams made the announcement:
I regret to inform all that Chad Oliver is leaving Waterman Broadcasting. He has accepted the position of Executive Director of Communications and Community Engagement for Collier County Public Schools.
AdvertisementChad first joined the company in 2004 as a reporter on NBC2. During his 14 years with the company, he has earned the respect of his co-workers as a great storyteller, an outstanding traffic anchor, a one-time ABC7 morning anchor, and an NBC2 dayside anchor.
He won accolades with our “One Tank Trip” series as well as other stories he did in our special projects unit. And who could forget audience favorite “Good Question?”
We will miss Chad’s passion for a good story, leadership with journalistic integrity, and connection with our community.
