Nexstar’s Portland, Ore., CW station is adding a morning show.
The new two-hour show will debut Feb. 3 and will air 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. weekdays. It offers a mix of local news, weather, sports and traffic. The addition of this program will add 10 hours per week of local news content.

Now, with the success of KRCW-TV’s most recently added prime-time news, we are extremely proud to be delivering even more high-quality news programming from KOIN-TV, with the launch of KOIN News AM Extra. This new local programming will strengthen KRCW-TV’s connection to the area’s viewers and advertisers, and enable KRCW-TV to broaden its digital offerings to its consumers.”
The show will be produced by KOIN, the Nexstar-owned CBS station in the market. The show will be commercial free for the first 20 minutes.
