Kansas City Reporter Accidentally Emails Entire Company to Say He’s Sick; Madness Ensues

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

Kansas City reporter Nick Vasos will never again hit send on an email without double-checking the recipient’s email address.

On Thursday, the morning traffic anchor for WDAF thought he was sending an email to his bosses letting them know he couldn’t come in Friday. It accidentally went out to the entire company—though ironically not to his boss—and Nexstar employees went wild.

The internet blew up with the hashtag #prayersfornick. People from newsrooms across the country were emailing him back get-well notes.

By the time corporate put a stop to the email, it was already trending.

As for Vasos, he’s fine despite the growing memorial on his desk that he’ll see when he returns Monday.
