By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

During a What’s Trending segment today on WGRZ‘s morning show, anchor Kate Welshofer read a story about a sad toddler that brought tears to meteorologist Patrick Hammer‘s eyes.

The video, which has circled the internet, is of a young boy who tells his mom he’s upset by the forecast. It’s spring yet it is snowy, cloudy and cold.

“This is the story of my life,” Hammer said in reaction to the video. “I totally relate to that guy, was he a relative? I’ve lived that.”
