Sinclair Makes Executive Changes

Saying it wants to ” better align the organization in a changing media landscape” Sinclair Broadcast Group has announced several key leadership changes.

David Amy, who has been executive vice president and COO since 2014, will move to vice chairman with oversight of Human Resources, Corporate Marketing and the Networks Group.

Barry Faber will move from evp and general counsel to evp and general counsel of Distribution and Network relations. He’ll be responsible for overseeing distribution and network partner relationships. He’s been with Sinclair since 1996.

Steven Pruett goes from Co-COO of Sinclair Television Group to evp and Chief TV Development Officer. Pruett has been with Sinclair since 2013 and will be responsible for developing new business models.

Steven Marks assumes direct oversight for all TV station operations when he goes from Co-COO of Sinclair Television Group to evp & Chief Operating Officer. Marks started his career with Sinclair as GM of its flagship station WBFF in Baltimore in 1991.

Robert Malandra goes from svp of Television Finance to svp of Advanced Revenue Development and Analytics. He’ll be responsible for revenue analytics and revenue initiative implementations. He started with company in 2006.

William Butler, svp Promotions and Corporate Marketing, will be retiring March 2, 2017. He’ll be replaced by vp of Promotions Dana Feldman who has worked with Sinclair since 2000.

“The announced changes are part of our broader plan to better align the organization in a changing media landscape and focus our resources and management teams in critical competitive and growth areas,” said Chris Ripley, who was recently named President & CEO. “Each person brings strategic strength to their respective area, and we are confident in their ability to help us navigate and drive the business as we head into these transformative years.”
