WSFA anchor John O’Connor says he plans to recover from a recent motorcycle accident “with a little time.”
The Montgomery, Ala. NBC affiliate told viewers O’Connor was hurt while on vacation.
“I was seriously hurt in a motorcycle accident while vacationing in North Carolina,” wrote O’Connor. “It involved a driver backing into my path. Thankfully I was wearing riding gear that kept me from being more seriously injured. Without going into too much detail, I plan to completely recover from my injuries with a little time.”
O’Connor has worked at the station since 2012.
“I want to let the viewers who have asked about me know how much I appreciate your concern,” he said. “I also sincerely appreciate the thoughts and prayers that I know will help in my recovery. It means a great deal to me. I hope to see you all soon!”
