Longtime KUSA anchor Kyle Dyer is leaving the Denver NBC affiliate.
“The people I have met in Colorado over the last 20 years have transformed me from a young morning news anchor to an invested, compassionate communicator who aspires to tell stories that inspire others,” Dyer wrote on her Facebook page.
She told viewers she’s staying in Denver when she leaves September 7, but gave no hints about future plans.
“For two-decades, Kyle has been a huge part of 9NEWS, and the lives of our viewers,” said president and GM Steve Carter. “In addition to being a great broadcaster, Kyle is a friend, an amazing person, and a gifted storyteller with a big heart.”
Dyer first started working at the station in 1996 as a morning anchor. Her role changed in 2014 so she could spend more time with her family.
After 20 years at 9News, I will be leaving on September 7. What an amazing 20 years it has been!
