You have to marvel at WTXF‘s ability to tap into the universal (is hatred too strong a word?) for potholes and the crews who seem to fill them only during rush hour.
It seems a Philadelphia road crew paved over a traffic cone, leaving its base eternally vulnerable to passing cars.
In a nod to the SNL skit “The Coneheads,” the cone was given a Dan Aykroyd-ish voice which told Mike Jerrick, morning co-anchor for the Philadelphia FOX owned station, it was from France.
The cone then lashed out at the streets department, “If I did not fear incarceration from human authority figures,” said the cone. “I would terminate your life functions by applying sufficient pressure to your blood skull as to force its collapse.”
Traffic cone paved right into Philly street?!? Is this the best we can do? Working to Get Results @5/6 @FOX29philly pic.twitter.com/iim7VKY1ve
