WIVB‘s Jacquie Walker returned to the anchor desk Monday night after taking seven weeks away from work for cancer treatment. Walker took a moment to thank viewers for their letters, prayers and support–urging viewers in turn to get early cancer screenings. “They can save your life,” she said.
Walker announced in November that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, which was caught early thanks to an annual mammogram.
