YouTube Debate Puts CNN In Week’s Top 10

By SteveK

Last week’s CNN/YouTube debate propelled the CNN program into the top 10 in all of cable news programs, the first time in more than two years that a single CNN program has cracked the top 10. The ranking is compiled by total viewers, Live +SD.

The last time CNN was in the top 10 was in September 2005 during breaking news coverage of the JetBlue emergency landing.

Fox News last made the top 10 in January with two programs: the State of the Union Address was #4, and a Presidential address on Iraq was #8.

Despite the huge numbers for the debate, Fox News still beat CNN for the week, with Fox News as the #11 cable net and CNN at #18.
