CNN anchor Rosemary Church admitted this “was the hard part” of the newscast Tuesday morning, saying farewell to her co-anchor of two years, Errol Barnett, headed to CBS News as a correspondent.
“He is amazing,” Church told viewers of the CNN/CNNI simulcast CNN Newsroom, turning to Barnett to say “I’m going to miss him so much … you are going to shine as you take this next step along your career path.”
“CNN hired me after graduating from UCLA,” Barnett said. “I was lucky at that. I was fortunate enough to be sent to the Middle East, throughout Africa … it’s because of everything I’ve done here that I’m able to go to a dream job in Washington.”
I’ve been so lucky to be at @RosemaryCNN‘s side the past 2yrs and at @CNNi the past 8. Thank you for everything! https://t.co/EtE3Q31lDX
