Woodruffs Are Writing A Memoir; ABC To Air Primetime Special In Spring ’07

A big announcement this afternoon: “Random House will publish a memoir by Lee Woodruff with her husband ABC News anchor Bob Woodruff about their experience after his convoy was attacked in Iraq while he was embedded with the military, leaving him with a traumatic brain injury and causing him to step down from his newly appointed job as co-anchor of the evening news.” It will be told from both Lee and Bob’s perspectives.

In a related announcement, ABC announced today that Woodruff will “tell the story of what happened to him in Iraq” in a “special primetime hour” in Spring 2007. “Through interviews with eyewitnesses and the medical teams who saved his life, Woodruff will report on his injuries and his difficult and painstaking road to recovery,” ABC says…
