Woodruff In Ramallah For Election News

By Brian

ABC News anchor Bob Woodruff and his crew turned around when it became apparent that Hamas had won a majority of the parlimentary seats in the Palestinian legislative elections. They were on their way to Jordan after spending two days in Jerusalem/Ramallah/Gaza.

“We went to sleep — and woke up — being told Hamas would make a strong showing, but not win a majority,” Woodruff blogged on ABCNews.com. “We got first word that this sea change was taking place as we were crossing the border into Jordan. Part of our team had already cleared customs when we decided to head back to the West Bank and Jerusalem to find out how people were reacting.”

Woodruff contributed to Good Morning America’s extensive coverage of the news. (By the way, did anyone else notice the stark contrast between Today and GMA’s coverage?)

> Woodruff is also video-blogging…
