When social news startup IJReview announced today it would partner with ABC News to host next February’s New Hampshire Republican presidential debate, IJR founder Alex Skatell said the goal was “a debate that’s relevant to a younger audience.”
What might that look like? In a series of clips posted to Vine, six Republican candidates–and one Democrat–show off their hip, Millennial social media skills with varying degrees of success.
IJR executive editor Michelle Jaconi promised a debate that would appeal to younger viewers–and the way they consume and share news. “Before, during and after this debate, we plan to do what IJReview does best: engage more and more Americans in the political conversation – in a way that makes them want to share the news.”
