Why We Like Julia Allison’s Blog

By Chris Ariens

Reporter, blogger, TV talking head Julia Allison writes up a tick-tock of her Wednesday. It involves changes, towncars and vomit. Here’s an excerpt which begins mid-day at FNC:

3 pm — I walk into the studio B makeup room, get a touchup, and run down to the newsroom, where Shep is taping, despite being really ill. Turns out that there was yet another school shooting. Breaking news always preempts entertainment stories; I catch up with Jill Dobson, who’s supposed to go on with me. We wait until 3:40, when we’re officially bumped, and then watch Shep vomit into a wastebasket as he rushes off air. You don’t see THAT everyday!

4:15 pm — I take the elevator up to the 12th floor, which is still partially under construction, as Fox Business (they dropped “Network” from their title!) gets ready for their Monday launch.

1:15 am — I write down a To-Do list for tomorrow — write my column, prep for FoxNews appearance at 3 pm, interview that author, switch my plane ticket for the wedding I’m attending this weekend b/c I have to go on the CBS Early Show Saturday morning…

2 am — Fall asleep. Ahhh.

>Update: We may like Julia’s blog, but Fox is none too happy with her information on the dropping of “Network” from Fox Business Network. Not true, they say. A Fox insider writes, “Julia couldn’t be anymore clueless — perhaps that’s part of her attempt at charm, but she comes off more out of the loop than anything else.”
