Why a 2013 Sean Hannity Tweet is Making the Rounds Today

By Chris Ariens

Earlier this week, after the gas attack in Syria, but before last night’s U.S. strike on a Syrian Air Base, many members of the media were reminded of a string of tweets Donald Trump sent in 2013 about Syria.

“President Obama, do not attack Syria. There is no upside and tremendous downside,” Trump wrote on Sept. 7, 2013.

Well, since the strike last night, a tweet that Fox News host Sean Hannity sent around that same time, on Sept. 3, 2013, also started popping up on Twitter.

Naturally, the responses on Twitter have been harsh.

“This Hannity tweet from 2013 gets the Syrian equivalent of a Pulitzer Prize for its prescience,” one wrote.

“Wait till 2013 Hannity meets 2017 version,” wrote another.

“This Hannity tweet from 2013 is so good it should be enlarged, printed on a 10′ by 10′ canvas, and hung in a museum,” wrote a third.

Hannity has not yet chimed in on Twitter about last night’s military strikes.

Update: Hannity tweeted this around 2 p.m. today:
