Who Is Lauren Lake?

Who is Lauren Lake, and why is she subbing for Rita Cosby on Live & Direct all this week?

She was a guest on Rita’s show back in November, then did a one-week stint as a guest on The Abrams Report in February. On MSNBC, she’s labeled as a “criminal defense attorney.” Suddenly, she’s now a guest host!

According to her personal bio, she’s much more than that: “Multi-talented television personality and entertainer defies geometry and life logic and as she simultaneously balances careers in…television, music, law, and interior design.” She apparently practiced law years ago, and she contributed to The Ricki Lake Show a while back, but I can’t find any journalism experience on her Web site…
