Where’s Tucker?

Lloyd Grove asked MSNBC Rick Kaplan “about the whereabouts of bow-tied pundit Tucker Carlson…’Soon,’ Kaplan replied mysteriously, and walked away.”

So what’s the hold-up? Contractual issues? Lack of a format? Some MSNBC staffers have been grumbling that Carlson isn’t the right host for the time slot and network. But don’t underestimate Rick.

Meanwhile, MSNBC’s 9pm “Special Reports” have made for great TV — Devoting one hour to one topic and exploiting NBC News resources is a great idea. (But the ratings don’t show it yet.) Perhaps Carlson’s show will be more “newsy…”
