NBC’s Weekend Today co-anchor Sheinelle Jones was at the 2015 BlogHer15 conference for a meet-and-greet event. The world’s biggest conference for women content creators took place last weekend at the Hilton Midtown in New York. Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien were among the keynote speakers and Today.com’s ep Ashley Parrish also spoke on a panel. Wrangler even made a surprise visit.

“I underestimated the amount of mom bloggers there are all round the country! Each woman I met at the conference has a unique personal experience to share with readers– offering everything from advice, to just making us laugh,” Jones told TVNewser. “I left our booth with an extra pep in my step– inspired by women all around the country who are making it work and raising happy children.”

Parrish’s panel was The Visual Web: VIDEO: How-To, from Tech, to Promotion, to Leveraging Your Assets. She touched upon the success of Today’s organic videos, including Hoda Kotb‘s hair routine time-lapse and Natalie Morales‘ Walking Dead zombie transformation.

“Don’t let your to dos get in the way of your what ifs,” Parrish told the panel. “Understand what’s going to resonate with your consumers and deliver the right content at the right time.”

The BlogHer conference is presented by SheKnows Media and began in 2005 to answer the question, “where are the women bloggers?”
