Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd said journalists made a mistake last year by initially dismissing the campaign of Republican candidate Donald Trump.
“I think a lot of us were snobs about it,” he said at an event on media coverage of the 2016 campaign in New Hampshire Sunday.
“And we were wrong about it. The story is not about Trump. The story is about the electorate that he tapped into.”

Todd said he didn’t have Trump on his show for the first two-and-a-half months, despite consistently leading in the polls.
