Vice News has made a solid addition to its DC team.
CNN embed Elizabeth Landers is joining Vice News Tonight on HBO as a political correspondent, where she’ll be covering President Trump, the 2020 election and Capitol Hill. She will report to Vice News Washington Bureau Chief, Shawna Thomas.
“Liz’s name came up over and over again as I talked to some of her former campaign trail buddies about who I should hire as a correspondent. This town, for better or worse, works on reputation and Liz has a good one,” Thomas said.
Landers was previously at CNN, where she worked for the last five and a half years. At CNN she covered the 2016 campaign as an embed with Sen. Bernie Sanders and now-vp Mike Pence, then covered the White House and most recently Capitol Hill.
