Vargas Says I’ll “Do Everything In My Power” To Anchor A Nightly Newscast Again

Elizabeth Vargas wants her anchor job back,” the Who’s News column in today’s USA Weekend magazine says.

The former World News Tonight anchor has said before that she’d like to anchor again, “in about five years.”

But her words to Lorrie Lynch were surprisingly loud and clear: Vargas “tells us she ‘will do everything in my power’ to anchor a nightly news program again, at ABC or elsewhere, but her ‘excruciatingly difficult decision’ was quite complicated.”
