TCA isn’t the only major media conference taking place in LA right now.
Politicon 2017, Comic-Con for politicians, pundits, journalists and taste makers of all political persuasions (everyone from Rob Reiner to Roger Stone) will take place tomorrow and Sunday in Pasadena, CA.
This year’s convention, which is sure to be an extraordinary one, will bring a full slate of interactive, live and in-person programming for political and TV news junkies from across the country.
MSNBC, CNN Politics, and The Young Turks are among the headline media partners of this year’s convention.
MSNBC is bringing an especially large group of journalists this year, including Kasie Hunt (who most certainly will be asked about her reported-upcoming weekend show), Steve Kornacki, Richard Lui, Ari Melber (host of the new MSNBC 6 p.m. show The Beat), Joy Reid and Jacob Soboroff, all of whom will participate in a series of panels and fan Q&A’s to talk about their experience covering the 2016 election and the Trump administration.
Other notable TV newsers set to attend include Kate Bennett, Brianna Keilar, and Jake Tapper from CNN, Tomi Lahren, Lesley Stahl from CBS News. A ton of cable news contributors will be in attendance as well, including James Carville, Van Jones, Bill Kristol, Jason Miller, Ana Navarro, and Michael Steele.
White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci is still scheduled to participate in a discussion on day one of the convention (tomorrow) called Anthony Scaramucci ‘Splains.

UPDATE: Scaramucci apparently cancelled afternoon. Here’s a statement from the organizers, per CNN’s Abby Phillip.
