Tony Snow: CNN “Tended To Treat Conservatives As Knuckle-Dragging Morons”

The Cincinnati Post profiled Fox talker Tony Snow over the weekend. The story includes this poke at CNN:

“Snow found it interesting that CNN recently hired some big-name conservative pundits, including Glenn Beck to host a CNN Headline segment, and former education secretary William Bennett and former Congressman J.C. Watts.”

Snow says: “It’s clearly an attempt to respond to the challenge Fox has laid down. When I was at CNN, they tended to treat conservatives as knuckle-dragging morons. I’ll never forget the time they invited me to come on ‘Crossfire’ as a host and the topic was David Duke – they wanted me to come on and defend him. I said, ‘I’m sorry, you got the wrong guy.'”
