In a commencement address at the University of Florida College of Medicine Saturday, Tom Brokaw
advised graduates that today’s world moves “at warp speed.”
The Gainesville Sun quotes him: “Welcome to a world in which war is not a video game rated K for combat. You won’t halt an epidemic by hitting the backspace bar. You cannot take your place in the long line of those who came before you simply by sitting in front of a keyboard looking at a screen.”
