Today At The World Report Conference…

Wednesday morning began with a welcome from CNN News Group president Jim Walton. Anderson Cooper is now moderating a discussion with Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Sri Lankan president Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga. In a few minutes, the panel “Tsunami: Six Months Later” will discuss reconstruction efforts and the perspective of journalists.

At 10:30am, Daryn Kagan will moderate “A Call To Action,” featuring remarks by Jimmy Carter and Bono (on tape) and Ricky Martin (in person). Then it’s time for lunch on the lawn of CNN’s original headquarters at Techwood. Christiane Amanpour will moderate a conversation with Ted Turner.

The day will conclude with a panel entitled “Reflection On The Last 25 Years: Stories of Survival.” At 7:30pm, CNN’s birthday party will kick off at the conference center across the street…
