Fox, which owned the Los Angeles Dodgers before selling the team to Frank McCourt in 2003, is not interested in buying back the embattled franchise, according to TMZ. The Dodgers are at the center of a contentious divorce between McCourt and his wife, Jamie, and are in such bad financial straits that Major League Baseball stepped in yesterday and took over control of the team.
TMZ reports, “We’re told the main reason there won’t be a Dodgers-FOX reunion is it’s a bad business model for the network. Put simply, there’s better money in airing baseball games than running baseball teams.
