When it comes to political figures appearing on non-traditional television programs, the times sure are a-changin’. In an interview with NBC’s Tim Russert, Broadcasting & Cable’s Ben Grossman asks about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi‘s turning up recently on The View (where things took a saucy turn when Whoopi Goldberg revealed she wanted to, shall we say, be with both Pelosi and Pelosi’s husband). “Those were some pretty blatant sexual references,” Russert told Grossman with a laugh. “You wouldn’t hear that on Meet the Press.”
And speaking of MTP, Grossman asks about the reluctance, so far, of Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney to appear on the program. “They somehow haven’t been able to find time in their schedules for the last year,” Russert says.
