Tight Layover Yields CNN Exclusive

By Chris Ariens

CNN dispatched congressional correspondent Dana Bash and producer Matt Hoye to Boise Tuesday morning to report on the Idaho angle of the Sen. Larry Craig arrest. Their D.C. to Boise flight just happened to have a layover at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Yes, that aiport.

Bash and Hoye took advantage of the layover by taking a small camera into the airport to shoot the now-infamous bathroom as well as the airport’s police station. The team also obtained a copy of the police report and Craig’s booking photo. From the airport, they faxed the report and e-mailed the mugshot to CNN’s D.C. newsroom.

Then it was back on a plane for Bash and Hoye, bound for Boise.
