The morning show ratings for last week and the second quarter of 2016 will be out in a couple hours. But the momentum for the last year has been with CBS This Morning. While still trailing Good Morning America and the Today show, CTM co-host Gayle King tells the New York Post she thinks it’s entirely possible the CBS trio can catch up to NBC and ABC.
This is a business, and everybody who works in the business wants to be Number One. It took “GMA” 17 years to catch “Today” and pass them. I feel like people “get” us and I get a sense they like the content they’re seeing… they’re responding to what they see between Charlie, Norah and I. We play off each other. I can’t fake it. None of us ever fakes it.
