The end of the year can only mean one thing aside from cheap champagne and : End of the year lists.

The Independent, our third or fourth favorite paper from across the pond, brings us the year in sports quotes.

Their list of 15 is, we’ll be honest, pretty depressing. The quote of the year has to go to Tiger Woods – “I was unfaithful, I had affairs, I cheated. What I did was not acceptable and I am the only person to blame.” – although LeBron James and his “talents to South Beach” line isn’t far behind.

Man, was 2010 really that bad? Perhaps not. Wake us up when 2011 starts.
