  • Sam Kass is leaving the White House and moving to New York, where his wife, MSNBC host Alex Wagner, is based. Kass, formerly the Obama family chef, headed up the First Lady’s “Let’s Move” initiative. The Obama family attended the wedding of Kass and Wagner in August.

  • Rob McGlarry has been named president of MLB Network. McGlarry takes over for Tony Petitti who was named Chief Operating Officer of Major League Baseball. McGlarry, currently EVP of MLB Network, worked for the league for five years in Broadcasting Business Affairs.

  • CNN and The Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR) reveal the results of a year-long investigation into armed security guards. In “Hired Guns,” airing in two parts, tonight and tomorrow night during “AC360,” CNN’s Drew Griffin reveals the minimal oversight and a lack of accountability in the hiring of many security guards.
