> “The Joe Scarborough Show” debuts this week on 630 WMAL in D.C. The radio show, hosted by Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski from 10-11:45amET, is up 89% from January to February ’09 in NY in the A25-54 demo, topping WOR at 10amET and lead-in “Imus in the Morning” for the month. Update: Glenn Beck’s WOR hour from 10-11amET beat Scarborough in the demo.

> The Guardian (U.K.) reports BBC America has dropped its three-hour morning news block because of “disappointing ratings.” The block included the Jeremy Paxman-anchored Newsnight, which still runs on BBC in the U.K.

> After 35,892 sound effects, 1,500 booyahs and one rant heard round the world, Mad Money with Jim Cramer will celebrate its 1,000th episode tomorrow. The show, which includes a live studio audience, will feature celebrity congrats and surprise appearances from Cramer’s favorite guests.
