The Ticker: Haddad, Holloway, Tsunami…

By SteveK

> Beet.tv reports today that Tammy Haddad, who left MSNBC in November to start her self-named media company, will producer a six-hour live webcast on Super Tuesday anchored by Newsweek editor Jon Meacham. The webcast will originate from the Washington Post/Newsweek Interactive studios in Arlington, VA.

> Chris Cuomo and Elizabeth Vargas will anchor a special edition of 20/20 (Monday, 9:30-11pmET) about the new evidence in the Natalee Holloway disappearance. ABC News has obtained exclusive U.S. rights to the information that was caught on tape and could open the case back up.

> On-air tech reporter Sree Sreenivasan brings up the media’s usage of the term “Tsunami” for this year’s even-more-Super Tuesday coverage on his blog at SAJAforum. Various terms have been used to express the significance (Super Duper Tuesday, Super Bowl Tuesday), but Sreenivasan thinks using “tsunami” should be stopped, because it disrespects the 300,000 people who died in the tsunami of 2004.
