> Curve Ball, elephants and a really big boat lifted 60 Minutes to its largest audience in almost two years. Added info — And yes, I have heard from the masses. 60 Minutes was certainly helped by their lead-in: the NFL game between the Colts and the Patriots. Sunday’s broadcast drew 19.24M total viewers giving 60 its best delivery since Dec. 11, 2005.

> In the ongoing saga of MSNBC being removed from basic cable and moved to a digital tier on many systems, the blog Blue Oregon quotes an MSNBC spokesperson saying, “The decision to move MSNBC from its existing channel in Portland, Oregon was 100% Comcast’s decision.”

> CNBC’s senior economics correspondent Steve Liesman got a one-on-one (or as Erin Burnett called it, face time) with Pres. Bush this morning. Free trade, CEO pay and the falling dollar on the agenda.
