“The Situation With Tucker Carlson:” Coming June 13 at 9pm to MSNBC

By Brian

First on TVNewser: Many e-mailers noticed Saturday morning’s promos for MSNBC’s new show “The Situation with Tucker Carlson.” The ads were short on details: It didn’t mention an airtime or premiere date (just “coming soon”). So let’s fill in the blanks: The Situation will premiere at 9 p.m. on Monday, June 13. Now that the format has been nailed down, daily rehearsals will get underway in the next few days, TVNewser hears. “The Situation” refers, in part, to the dynamic that the fast-paced show hopes to create. (I predict that future promos will talk about “changing the pace of news.”)

> Update: 8:08pm: Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson’s final edition of Unfiltered on PBS will air on June 17. [Corrected from “next weekend.”] He’ll be shifting his attention entirely to MSNBC.

> After watching the promos “the first thing I thought of was ESPN’s ‘Pardon The Interruption,'” an MSNer says. The show’s EP has a sporty history…
