The O’Reilly-Less Factor Beats Broadcast Shows on FOX

By Chris Ariens

With 3.3 million viewers last night’s The Factor was the most-watched 8 p.m. show on Fox News since Bill O’Reilly‘s final The O’Reilly Factor on April 11, which drew 3.6 million.

Tune-in was high given the news that O’Reilly would not be back, with viewers curious to know how Perino would handle his departure after 20 years at the network.

The 3.3 million viewer total topped Shots Fired on the Fox broadcast network (3.17 million) as well as a rerun of Empire at 9 p.m. (3.08 million). On cable, The Factor was the No. 3 show last night, only trailing NBA games on TNT.

The 9 p.m. hour, Tucker Carlson Tonight, lost -17 percent of The Factor viewership, which is about the average drop-off. Carlson takes over the 8 p.m. timeslot on Monday.
