Today’s Page Six emphasizes Fox’s side of the Kiran Chetry story. It says “fast-sinking, second-place CNN picked up top-rated Fox’s crumbs” by signing Chetry as a substitute anchor and correspondent.

At the end of the item, a Fox insider says: “Let’s see what happens. Remember, the last one they took from us was Paula Zahn, and look where she went.”

An e-mailer notes that “there’s a history of FNC hastily firing and then absolutely trashing any talent who talk to CNN. Remember Paula Zahn? When Ailes learned she was talking with CNN, he fired her immediately, leading to Zahn being on CNN six months earlier than expected…” Update: Zahn wasn’t just “talking with CNN;” she was doing so outside the window of negotiation…
