The tip box lit up with reactions to the Courtney Friel story from Friday regarding her skyrocket to Fox News stardom and the bitterness that may have resulted from it.
Most of the reactions were a defense of other Fox News personalities…or blatant attacks on Friel. “No one, and I mean NO ONE should be worried about Courtney Friel taking their job,” one emailer wrote. “Let’s just say she’s not the smartest girl in the room…”
Another emailer sarcastically wrote, “I’m sure Courtney Friel’s ‘positive attitude & willingness to help’ got her the gig, not her bikini modeling past & poker hosting resume.”
Some jumped to her defense. “In my opinion, the other Fox ‘babes’ are just jealous! (They) should either put up or shut up…or leave the network for some other crappy network,” wrote an emailer.
Another emailer envisions a time when “Special Report w/ Hume and Friel” exists, signaling the decline of Fox News. “Enough is enough…Fox has gorgeous, talented women who do not act like they want to wave home to their sorority every time they are on TV,” the emailer wrote.
