- Discovery Channel will air Everest Avalanche Tragedy Sunday, May 4. The 90-minute documentary will include eyewitness accounts from last Friday’s deadly avalanche. An NBC News team was there producing a now-canceled special which was to include a wing suit flight from the summit.
- Katherine Green, former CNN International and HLN executive, is joining Tribune as SVP of News. Green will report to Larry Wert, president of Tribune Broadcasting.
