CNN says on Tuesday, they were the “#1 network in all of cable” among Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo in prime time (8-11p). CNN peaked with 4.420 million viewers during the 9pET hour, “the most-watched hour in all of cable for the day.”

Not only was it a big day for the cable network, but CNN.com had 93.4 million page views (11.4 million uniques) during the day Tuesday.

CNN IS THE #1 CABLE NETWORK WITH MARCH 4 PRIMARY COVERAGE

CNN Only Cable News Network to Top Record-Setting Super Tuesday (Feb. 5) Deliveries

On March 4, CNN was the #1 network in all of cable among total viewers and the demo P25-54 in primetime (8-11p), also beating both Fox News and MSNBC throughout the network’s extended election coverage from 8p to 2a. During primetime (8-11p), CNN averaged an impressive 3.692 million total viewers while FNC placed second with 2.984 million and MSNBC ranked third with 2.040 million. In the key demographic P25-54 during primetime, CNN was also #1 with 1.587 million, nearly doubling the audience of MSNBC’s 876k and third-place FNC’s 830k.

From 8p–2a, CNN also outperformed the competition in P2+ with 2.927 million, while FNC News followed with 2.217 million and MSNBC averaged 1.712 million total viewers. CNN again led the competition in the P25-54 demo, averaging 1.291 million while MSNBC placed second in the key demo with 762k and FNC followed with a mere 671k from 8p to 2a.

CNN peaked with 4.420 million viewers during the 9p hour, the most-watched hour in all of cable for the day.

CNN’s online audience also surged with more than 11.4 million unique visitors going to CNN.com for March 4, primary election coverage, resulting in 93.4 million page views and 3.5 million video streams served. The Political Ticker generated 2.3 million page views on Tuesday.
