“Television Diplomacy” Required For FNC’s Wallace To Appear on CNN With Dad

At the end of last night’s Larry King Live, Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace joined his father Mike.

After Larry pointed out that Mike has never met President Bush, Chris said he thinks “this public complaining and whining is rather unattractive.” (Chris has met the president several times.) “That’s my boy,” Mike responded, “works for Fox.”

Then Chris said: “Larry, can I just say, that this is a real tribute to my father because I know before you could invite me as a host, an anchor at FOX, onto CNN, you had to go to the very top of CNN to invite me. And then I had to go to the very top of FOX to get permission to come on. So this is like television diplomacy all over again.”
