Sunday Show Ratings: March 10

By Jason Lynch

Moderated by Chuck Todd, NBC’s Meet the Press was the most-watched Sunday show across the board on March 10, for the fifth consecutive week.

It was the show’s 58th consecutive weekly win in the 25-54 demo, which NBC says is the longest streak for any program in the Sunday affairs category since modern Nielsen ratings began in 1987. However, Meet the Press was down 5 percent in total viewers and 20 percent in the A25-54 demo vs. the comparable Sunday last year.

While the switch to Daylight Saving Time might have impacted those numbers, none of its Sunday morning competitors suffered year over year declines that were that steep.

An extra 953,000 total viewers and 172,000 viewers A25-54 viewers watched Meet the Press through rebroadcasts on NBC and MSNBC.

ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos was up 12 percent in total viewers, and up 11 percent in A25-54 viewers vs. last year.

CBS’ Face the Nation, moderated by Margaret Brennan, increased 14 percent in total viewers year over year and 9 percent in the demo.

Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace on Fox Broadcasting was on par with last year’s total viewers, but fell 11 percent in the demo. Three replays on Fox News Channel drew an additional total audience of 2.407 million, and 403,000 in the A25-54 demo.
